Lifelong mixed media collage artist Elizabeth Lewis is showing some “puzzling bird miniatures” at All Souls Church, UU during the month of August.  Please join us for a reception on Sunday the 17th at 11:30 AM. 

Elizabeth is a resident of Putney and a member of ASC.  Her first show was here at the then named West Village Meetinghouse in 1981, the year she moved to Vermont from Los Angeles. 

This show of collages features recently created chirpy chickadees that mimic human speech and broadcast the artists playful personal conversations.  Although some of the decorative elements came as part of a larger and more predictable formal jigsaw puzzle, the read bird characters flew out long before the pizzle was complete, and became happily wall-dwellers.  Elizabeth lives with them, and with her old cat who only dreams of feathers.

The exhibit will be open to the public during regular hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Fridays 10 AM – 2 PM, and Sundays after our 10 AM Worship Service.
