Please, if you are coming and have dietary restrictions, let us know. Perhaps you can even introduce us to some food you particularly enjoy. As the evening meals typically include time for an informal gathering before moving to the table, we would like to include a hall hour or so in the parlor with appetizers and seltzers and juices. We will keep it simple, veggies and dip, cheeses etc. Just enough time for folks to mingle, get to know newcomers and to give the kitchen crew time to set up a buffet. Don’t let the buffet throw you if mobility or shaky hands are a challenge, we’re UUs and someone will fetch and carry for you!
A Circle Lunch is an opportunity for those who can not make it to a Circle Dinner in the evening, to have a similar gathering, but at noon on Saturday, March 11 at the Church. Typically we gather around a long table in the foyer for a family style potluck with each individual or group contributing food or drink. In the past, those who can not travel at night, need a ride to attend, or appreciate an accessible site have chosen this option. Your hosts for this lunch include Linda Hay, Carla Fogg, and Lois Reynolds. Letting them know in advance what you can bring helps us make certain that there will be main dishes, salads or other vegetables, breads, beverages, and desserts appropriate for all the guests. With a variety of dietary needs, it is helpful to have choices for vegans and vegetarians, those who avoid gluten, and so on.
