Juneteenth Celebration on the Brattleboro Common, sponsored by the NAACP Brattleboro

Musician Samirah Evans and her band will be performing, students who won our BIPOC Heroes contest will speak, and we will recall the history of Juneteenth – commemorating the end of slavery in the US, voices for freedom continue to ring out.

The event will be an outdoor family-friendly event with entertainment.  Families are encouraged to bring picnic meals, and food trucks including soul food will be available.
