Free Winter Solstice Celebration at West Village Meetinghouse with Sharon & Daniel

The musical duo Sharon & Daniel will lead a Winter Solstice party at 6:00PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 sponsored by All Souls Church Unitarian/Universalist at the West Village Meeting House, 29 South St, Brattleboro, VT. They will be joined by master violinist Phil Bloch. The highly participatory event will feature singing, dancing and merriment of all manner including a percussion jam and Solstice Parade.

The gathering is free of charge or by donation and family friendly. The celebration will be preceded by a potluck dinner starting at 5:00PM on the 20th.

With playful harmonies, acoustic guitars, percussion, keyboards and upright bass, Sharon Leslie and Daniel Kasnitz perform lively versions of popular hits with a funky, jazzy twist.

“This Celebration honors the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s a perfect time to gather for this event which is at the core of so many of our holiday traditions.” says Kasnitz. “We’re thrilled to offer this Winter Solstice Celebration to the community.
