Held In Her Arms

We honor and celebrate mothers, and the ones who offered us care and
love, challenge and guidance. We honor the strength of women, and recall
the legacy and call for Peace in 1870 that echoes today.

We anticipate that this service will be both in-person and on Zoom. Click right here Sunday shortly before 10:00 a.m. to join via Zoom.

Chalice Lighting – words of Claudene (Deane) Oliva Kai Morrison

We light this chalice for mothers and mothering; to celebrate those who have taken on the task of nurturing a young one – a baby, child, or youth into adulthood, or caring for an elder; to celebrate those who have nourished the light of truth and compassion in growing minds and hearts; to celebrate those who have committed time and energy to the growth of others in this world. We light this chalice to celebrate and hold dear this flame of love.

Lighting our Children’s Chalice

We light this chalice to celebrate Unitarian Universalism.
We are the church of the open minds.
We are the church of the helping hands.
We are the church of the loving hearts.
